The program is called 'WIA-Loader' because it originally was only intended to transfer pictures through Windows' built-in WIA (Windows-Image-Acquisition) interface. A lot has changed since then: WIA has been replaced by WPD, memory cards and drives can be accessed directly, and some cameras can even be controlled over WiFi. So the name is really only 'historical' by now - if I ever come up with a better one, I'll rename it accordingly.
You can get the paid version either through the Microsoft App-Store, or you buy a license key directly on my homepage and activate it via File -> Activate license. Even if you bought the app through the Store, you can additionally claim a regular license on the license server, e.g. to use WIA-Loader without a Store account.
To use automatic image tagging with a cloud AI model (OpenAI) you additionally need your own API key, which you enter in the AI configurations. If you don't want any costs for the AI evaluation, you can use a locally running model (LLaVA or LM Studio) instead.
